A LIVE feed of The Herd's show will be broadcast across the nation on Triple J from Newcastle Leagues Club on Friday night.
Newcastle was hand- picked to host the broadcast from one of nine cities on The Herd's latest tour which ties in with the release of their new album, The Sun Never Sets. The Sun Never Sets is the band's third album and arrives after two years of touring and consolidating their name amongst the top hip-hop groups in Australia.
It blends the band's social messages with with beats and colourful and unconventional samples such as trumpets, percussion and cello.
The only guest rapper to feature on the record is UK lyricist Braintax, who has been performing since 1992 and now juggles a music career with heading label Lowlife Records, home to acts such as Mystro and Skinnyman.
