IT seems all-girl punk outfit THE SPAZZYS can't get enough of Newcastle.
Twin sisters LUCY (bass) and KAT (guitar) and long-time friend ALICE (drums) will return to the CAMBRIDGE HOTEL this week following a recent show at NEWCASTLE PANTHERS supporting MACHINE GUN FELLATIO. It has been a non-stop string of gigs for The Spazzys since the release of their debut album Aloha! Go Bananas, which was launched during the MAXIMUS SPASTICUS TOUR. The 14-track record features tunes such as Hey, Hey, Baby and I Want to Cut My Hair Like Marky Ramone. The latter was penned a few years ago and, ironically, the Melbourne band was invited to support the former RAMONES star on his Australian tour earlier this year.
Ramone was so impressed by the girls that he agreed to star in the video for Hey, Hey, Baby .
The Spazzys will cap off the year with performances at THE FALLS festivals at the end of the month.
Catch The Spazzys at the Cambridge Hotel tomorrow night with support from special guests.
