SUCCESS comes down to versatility, reliability, experience and talent for Hunter-based duo COPY CATZ. This husband and wife act DANA and DON, has years of experience performing across Australia.
Dana has been described as having one of the finest voices in Newcastle.
Don has been playing, recording and teaching guitar for more than 15 years.
They make an impressive team.
Although Copy Catz has been performing for almost two years, many would recognise Dana and Don from their days in bands such as DANCE FACTOR, TIGHT FIT, MAGIC BUS and I GO BANG. Since forming Copy Catz, the duo has continued to build on an established reputation, not only in Newcastle but all over the Central Coast and throughout Sydney.
``Although we are based in Newcastle and do well there, we get most satisfaction from how well we do in Sydney,'' Dana said.
``To be successful at home is great but to do well in Sydney, where they have so many acts and agencies to choose from, that's something that makes us very proud.'' A passion for their work is also evident in the pair's performance.
``The fans are what really give us the most pleasure,'' Don said.
``Those regular faces that come along to see us all the time are so supportive and so much fun, and we really appreciate them.
``We want them to have a good time and if they enjoy themselves, then so do we, and that's what makes all the effort we put into our shows worthwhile.'' Copy Catz performs a wide variety of songs from the 50s and 60s through to the 80s and 90s.
