AMY VEE is undoubtedly one of the hardest working musicians in Newcastle.

Vee will perform in two of her various forms during THE BREWERY'S special Anzac Day show on Sunday.

She will perform with her father MIKE VEE in the duo THE VEES before joining her band, THE VIRTUES, on stage later in the evening.

Since she began performing professionally at the tender age of 10, Vee has fleeted between bands.

She has established a fruitful solo career and recently had her song All In Me featured as part of US music magazine Rockrgrl 's new Discoveries compilation CD. Vee has also dabbled in dance music, touring with GROOVE TERMINATOR and MOBY in 2002.

The multi-skilled musician and vocalist joined Newcastle-based outfit ON formerly ON INC who were named Act of the Year at the 2003 ABC NEWCASTLE MUSIC AWARDS. Her latest venture is the pop-rock driven act AMY VEE AND THE VIRTUES. Comprised of Vee on guitar and vocals, GARY ARNOLD on guitar and backing vocals, MAT MCCOLL on bass, and RUSSELL CRAWFORD on drums.

Vee said she personally selected each member of the band primarily for their distinctive sound, and their passion for the style and direction of the music. The band launched its debut five-track EP, Quintessence , this year.

Amy Vee and The Virtues will perform at The Brewery on Sunday from 7.15pm along with The Vees at 2pm, 2002 YOUTHROCK competition winners EXTORTION at 6pm, and popular party band URBAN GROOVE at 9pm.

You can also catch Amy Vee and the Virtues at THE GLASSHOUSE at the CAMBRIDGE HOTEL on May 5.
