BRISBANE punk three piece Razel may have just released its debut EP Perfect Little Mongrels, but it's the live show that we should look forward to, according to the band.
'We're definitely more of a live band,' Razel's bassist Kelly Rivas said. 'We had to capture that on the CD, we didn't want to f... with the sound too much because it's not what you're going to get live.'
Newcastle punk fans should get along and check out what the band has to offer when the all-girl trio performs at Newcastle University tomorrow night with Bleach. The four track EP, recorded by Jeff Lovejoy, was released late October and showcases the band's blend of powerhouse punk, metal, rock and pop at its best.
'We had a whole list of songs that we wanted to do and he narrowed them down and picked out what he thought would go really well together on the CD.'
Razel will perform at the Uni's First Dump Jump tomorrow, an evening of winter fun for students.
Doors open at 7.30pm and entry is free for students and $5 for guests.
