THEIR trip to Newcastle was cut short last year, but Pre Shrunk plan to make up for it this time around.
The three-piece will perform at ClubNova Newcastle on March 22 with Cruel Sea and Hang Seng. 'We play in Newcastle pretty regularly on the way to Brisbane or on the way down to Sydney,' Dave Morris said.
'We always try to do a show there and we always have a good time.'
The band is recording a new album, which began as an EP, and hopes to release a single by the end of the month.
Fans can be guaranteed an interesting mix of musical styles, not only because the band is made up of two bass players and a drummer, but because of their range of influences.
Pre Shrunk released its debut album Digital Sunrise in 2000.
It received an ARIA nomination for Best Independent Release.
But it's not just the Aussies who love Pre Shrunk, because the boys are popular with Japanese audiences.
Tickets are $22 plus a booking fee from Beaumont St Beat, The Rock Shop and Rumours Clothing; or $25 at the door.
