IT will be boy meets girl when Carlotta hits Newcastle this month.
The Australian television and stage personality, who is a regular guest on Beauty and the Beast, will appear at ClubNova Newcastle on March 23.
Famed for her tongue-in-cheek entertainment, the quick-witted compere is renowned for her classic one-liners and stories that will make your toes curl.
Possibly Australia's best known drag queen, Carlotta started out as a boy from Balmain.
But in 1963 Carlotta's life changed and she had the first publicly recognised sex change in Australia.
She went on to audition for a drag show in Kings Cross and won the part, so beginning her career as one of Australia's most famed personalities.
Her career has seen her perform to adoring crowds across Australia, as well as throughout New Zealand, Asia, United States and Europe.
Her autobiography He Did It Her Way is in its fifth print run and her video Carlotta - The Person Behind The Legend, an Intimate Chat with Carlotta has achieved great success.
