Huge Turnout on Deck for Last Nutshell Break

What: Nutshell Breaks
Where: The Cambridge Hotel
Author: Jade Lazerevic
When: Saturday March 16, 2002

LAST month's instalment of Nutshell Breaks proved that the event continues to get bigger and bigger.

Organiser Dan Matthews rated the turnout as the biggest yet when UK DJ Dee Kline took to the decks.

Matthews said another major highlight of the evening was the inclusion of unreleased tunes produced by locals Unkle Sonic and The Bongo Terror-Wrist. Nutshell freaks can look forward to the March edition of the gig on Saturday night from 10.30pm until 5am.

Held at the Cambridge Hotel, Sydney DJs Emme and Ritual and MC Antic will headline the show.

Local DJs Auxilary, Kato and JJ will also play.

Emme, Ritual and MC Antic, who are also known as the Switch Crew, will arrive direct from residencies at Sublime in Home nightclub.

'Switch is an amalgamation of minds and music, incorporating a cross-section of breakbeat sounds,' Emme said.

Matthews and fellow organiser Michael Hodgeson are also looking forward to introducing new local DJ JJ to the decks at Nutshell.

Tickets are $10 pre-sale plus a booking fee from PDMS, Abicus Selections, Cambridge Hotel or $15 at the door.

Limited edition Nutshell T-shirts will be available for $20 on the night.

TE has three double passes to give away.
