Vitalbeats go on for our Finest Homegrown DJs

NEWCASTLE has produced many fine DJs over the years and this weekend 12 of the best will get together for a special homegrown gig at Vitalbeats. The gig will be the first for 2002 and will be held at the PAN Building in Auckland St.

The gig will feature Vitalbeats resident DJs including Patsan, Mark N, Chris Calm, Kato and Richy Valenz and live act Electrofunk. Headlining the gig is special guest DJ Shade who will return to the place it all began 15 years ago.

His talents have long been recognised by major players in the DJ industry and after just 12 months behind the decks, he made the finals of the 1988 NSW DMC Mixing Championships. Shade went on to hold residencies at major clubs in Sydney sharing the decks with Pee Wee, Nik Fish, Paul Holden and John Ferris. Tickets to Vitalbeats are available at PDMS and Abicus $15 presale or $20 at the door.
