SOMETHING For Kate is returning to Newcastle for the fourth time this year to support Powderfinger during the sell-out gig at ClubNova Newcastle on Tuesday.
The group performed to sell-out crowds during two shows at Newcastle University and Fanny's earlier in the year.
2001 has been nothing but a success for Something For Kate since the relase of its third album Echolalia which debuted at number two and shot to number one on the ARIA charts.
The group performed at the ARIA awards ceremony last Wednesday and received five nominations at the event.
Something For Kate received nominations for Best Video, Best Artwork, Best Alternative Release, Album of the Year, Record of the Year and Best Group.
Channel V also got on the nomination bandwagon and placed the band as one of the final five nominations for the Channel V Australian Artist of the Year Award.
Upcoming performances for the group include Livid on Saturday in Brisbane and the popular Homebake Festival with the cream of Australian talent in December.
Tuesday's concert has proved to be one of the hottest to visit Newcastle this year with tickets selling out in a matter of days after going on sale.
