If you haven't heard this chorus all over the radio and sung by thousands of Knights fans yet, you're bound to soon.
Local musician Daniel Arvidson is the man behind Newcastle, a song which has won the hearts of Novocastrians and become the unofficial anthem of the Newcastle Knights' grand final win. Not only has the song been sitting at number one on local radio charts but it was belted out by Knights fans and players during the 3am homecoming at Marathon Stadium last week.
Footage of the Knights singing the infamous chorus to their adoring fans was screened around the country on Channel 10 and Nine.
Daniel Arvidson was celebrating the match with the crowd at Fanny's when the Knights thrashed the Parramatta Eels last Sunday. Caught up in the excitement, Arvidson promptly picked up his guitar and treated the crowd to a singalong, for which he received a standing ovation.
Arvidson had the honour of performing the track at the Knights victory parade last Wednesday where he was met with an energetic response.
The song is available in local record stores now and can be heard on local radio.
