THE third instalment of Ska Trek will welcome ska groups from Germany, Sydney and Newcastle to the stage on Saturday at the Cambridge Hotel. German-based band Blukilla offers a mix of ska and reggae and has become one of the most popular ska groups in its home country.
The group has performed together for more than 15 years and has released three albums to date.
Blukilla will perform in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane while on their Australian tour and because they are a ska band from Germany, they believe people will have good reason to get along and watch their show.
Ska Trek 3 will also feature performances from Sydney two-tone group Backy Skank and Sydney schoolkids Bagster, who are said to have the best set of catchy pop ska tunes going around.
Local bands Ulick 4 and rockabilly band Riot will also perform.
Ska Trek organiser Brett Deaves will be on hand to spin up some tracks under the alias of DJ Devo. The gig contiunes from 7pm and entry is $5.
