A FUSION of fuzzy pop and funk is what makes one of the hottest new bands to come out of Sydney tick.
Four-piece band Ezmerelda recently released an EP titled Welcome To Our Planet, a fitting title for a band with a sci-fi cowgirl for a mascot.
The EP was produced by Martin Hayley of Lo-Tel and launched in front of a 300-strong crowd at Bar Broadway in March.
Ezmerelda have supported Nitocris, Skunkhour, Dave Graney, Lo-Tel, Pretty Violet Stain and Stella One Eleven. They will be supported by locals Chi when they perform at SJ's Hotel tomorrow night.
Chi have a loyal fanbase in Newcastle and have performed at the Wollombi Festival, Cultural Stomp and Darby Street Fair. The group recently performed in Civic Park with On Inc.
