THOSE Bloody McKennas will wreak havoc, as is their trademark, on the Northern Star Hotel on Friday.
The McKennas have just completed pre-production for their next CD, which they say will be a unique form of earthy urban acoustic folk.
Their website is about to be constructed after an influx of requests by the band's growing number of fans.
Those Bloody McKennas prove the age-old saying that blood is thicker than water, with four of the five members being brothers.
Brother Damien plays didgeridoo and bass, Danny plays drums, Phill plays mandolin and just about anything with strings, while Ant sings and plays guitar.
Fuelled by folk roots, these four larrikins and one lass, Clare Kildea on flute and accordian, say they draw influences from as far afield as Ireland, the footy and of course, the local pub.
They have carved a name for themselves gigging constantly over the past three years up and down the coast, playing regularly in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, as well as major festivals throughout Australia.
They are known for having as much fun as their audience.
