HIP-HOP and funky sounds will both play a role in improving the environment during celebrations for this week's Students and Sustainability conference at Newcastle University.
Terminal Illness, Blades of Hades, Elf Tranzporter, Groovy D and Maya Jupiter will all come together for an evening of phat hip hop beats and rhymes on Friday night.
Phat Ali will crank out some funky tunes at the show, which will kick off at 8pm.
Entry is $5.
Local hip-hoppers Head Poppin' Fattness will perform during the conference and will be joined by diverse acts Repercussion, Gamelan Novo Castria, Panic, Chi and Kyah tonight.
The show begins at 7pm and for $3 you can catch traditional Indonesian music, steelpan music, fire twirlers and breakdancers.
Both gigs will be held at the University's Bar on the Hill.
