Primary Riding High on Album's Success

Bringing a unique style of dance, pop and electronic rock to SJ's Hotel next Wednesday is Primary. Primary is riding the wave of success with the release of its second album Watching The World. The album was recorded in the group's home studio with the use of some vintage recording equipment.

Among the equipment was a mixing desk used by the Bee Gees in the mid-70s to mix the classic Saturday Night Fever album.

'It's also exactly the same as the one used by AC/DC to record and mix Back In Black, ' keyboardist Jamie Fonti says.

The group began recording the album in 1999 and spent the rest of that year refining it.

'Essentially we recorded the album as a band really quickly, from there we just developed those songs,' Fonti said.

Primary will be joined by Izadora at SJs.
