Metal Group Making big Name for Itself

Local metal group Equinibrium is rapidly becoming the local band to keep an eye on.

Apart from signing to Ian 'Molly' Meldrum's Internet MP3 publishing firm, the group has also been working hard to secure support shows with big name acts.

In the past few months it has toured extensively on the East Coast and featured in two sporting videos.

The return trip from Canberra was a memorable one after their tour bus burst into flames on the Pacific Highway, just seconds after the boys had scrambled from it.

The group lost two guitars and some personal items but salvaged the burnt number plate.

The group made it into the final 100 from some 40,000 entries in the Channel V Leg Up Competition and has supported the likes of Superheist, The Mark of Cain, Sunk Loto and Segression. Equinibrium fans can look forward to the release of a full length album titled We Under The Sun which they hope to release next January.

Catch Equinibrium when they play at SJ's Hotel tomorrow night with fellow musos Scar'Child.
