TRUE-blue troubadour John Williamson will finally make it to Newcastle after he postponed his show to perform at last month's memorial service for Sir Donald Bradman.
Williamson will perform at Club Nova Newcastle on April 27 with country starlet Sara Storer, who coincidentely hails from similar territory in country Victoria.
The concert, originally set for March 25, was postponed when Sir Donald Bradman's family asked the balladeer to perform at the memorial service, an offer he couldn't refuse.
Williamson said he invited Storer out on the road after she collected the 2001 Golden Guitar as Australia's best new country artist.
Storer now lives on the Central Coast but the inspiration for her award-winning song, Buffalo Bill, came from a character she met during a five-year stint in the Northern Territory.
'She's a Mallee girl from Robinvale, not too far from my home of Quambatook,' he said. See www.malleeboy.com
