THE DAS (DARRYL ABERHART) TRIO will return to the DUNGEON AT ADAMSTOWN for the third time tomorrow to perform a hot jazz gig.
The trio is an experienced jazz outfit and has been performing around Newcastle for the past 18 months.
The cosy surrounds of the Dungeon, a popular jazz venue located underneath the Adamstown Uniting Church on the corner of Glebe Rd and Brunker Rd, Adamstown, suits the band's live sound perfectly.
The gig is scheduled to start at 7.30pm.
Although the trio has been together for only 18 months, each member is an experienced musician in their own right.
DARRYL ABERHART plays keyboards and is the vocal component of the group.
ANDREW WALLACE on double bass provides solos, while drummer NICK CICERE is the driving force behind the band's sense of rhythm.
DAS has performed twice at the Dungeon, once as a backing group and once together in its own right.
Dungeon-goers should also take note of the Discovery Gig on March 16, featuring the COL STEIN TRIO The gig will give young performers a chance to grab some valuable experience with jazz musicians who know their stuff.
