CALIFORNIAN band DIESEL BOY will perform its rocking mix of hits about girls and punk-rock morals for the audience at SJ's Hotel at Hamilton on Wednesday, March 1.
The Hothouse at SJ's has invited DIESEL BOY and special guests ONE DOLLAR SHORT and OFFSET to perform on the night.
Tickets to the gig cost $8.
The gig is the first Newcastle visit for the boys, who will be performing music from their latest album, SOFA KING COOL. Diesel Boy started playing live together in 1993, but the road to success was not paved until the band released its first album, COCK ROCK, in 1996.
The album tackled time-honoured rock'n'roll themes like girls, punk-rock ideals and more songs about, you guessed it, girls.
The following year VENUS ENVY was released, followed by SOFA KING COOL, released in America in the middle of last year.
For their latest release the lads added a new drummer and string section for 14 rock anthems that will bring out the urge to stage-dive in the most unassuming fans.
In between albums Diesel Boy have also managed to do some touring, rocking places like America, Canada and the historic countryside of Europe.
Future plans for the band are not set in concrete but a tour of Japan is a possibility as it chases super stardom in the world of rock.
TE has a copy of SOFA KING COOL to give away.
To go into the draw mail an envelope with your name, address and telephone number on the back to DIESEL BOY give away, Po Box 615, Newcastle 2300.
