THREE of Australia's hottest jazz musicians will get together tomorrow night at the Northern Star Hotel for an electric jazz set.

Bass player STEVE HUNTER, has seven albums to his credit as a band leader. His latest, NINE LIVES, will be released in May on ABC RECORDS. Hunter has worked with leading Australian jazz artists and international stars CHICK COREA and BILLY COBHAM. Joining him will be guitarist STEVE MCKENNA and drummer ANDY GANDER. McKenna has been a renowned guitar virtuoso on the Australian and international scene for years, and has two albums out on LARRIKIN RECORDS. He has worked with MIKE NOCK, DALE BARLOW, JAMES MORRISON and in Europe with American saxophone master BOB BERG. Gander, a bonafide master drummer, has featured on albums for artists such as VINCE JONES, DALE BARLOW, CARL ORR, GRACE KNIGHT and DON BURROWS, as well as a host of internationals such as THE BRECKER BROTHERS, KENNY WHEELER and JOHN MCLAUGHLIN. Tomorrow night the trio will perform originals as well as music by composers such as Chick Corea and ORNETTE COLEMAN. TE
