THERE is no shortage of young talent in the Hunter.
A handful of these acts will have the chance to perform before an audience of 5000 alongside the likes of Shihad, End of Fashion and Hilltop Hoods when Groovin' the Moo hits Maitland next month.
Festival organisers will host a four-week Moo Band Comp at the Cambridge Hotel to find the region's most popular and talented acts. The winners will open the Cambridge Hotel stage when Groovin' the Moo appears at Maitland Showground on April 29.
The competition is open to bands and solo artists from Newcastle, the Hunter and the Central Coast, and entries must be submitted by this Friday.
Entrants will be judged not only on their musical ability but also on their professionalism, motivation and dedication. Entry kits and details are available online at groovinthemoo.com.au.
