NINO Brown played the first of two shows at Fanny's on the Blazin 5: The Mixtape Tour last month.
Tonight his buddy DJ Samrai will be behind the decks to whip up a mix of the latest and greatest R&B and hip- hop featured on the pair's latest Blazin' compilation album.
At age 24, Samrai has achieved more than most his age.
He took out the NSW State DMC and ITF Championships in 2000, and was youngest DJ to represent Australia at the DMC finals in London.
Last year the Sydney- based turntablist took out the top spot in the Australia ITF Scratch Championships and went on to represent the country at the world final held in Prague.
His profile has been heightened with residencies at several Sydney clubs and tours with The Black Eyed Peas, Scribe and DJ Craze. Samrai reckons Blazin' 5 has set a new precedent.
``I think Blazin' 5 will be the freshest mix album to ever hit Australia,'' Samrai said.``When putting any mixtape together your main goal is always to expose people to the best quality music that's out there.``I guess with this album I wanted to take a different direction and please everyone from young to old and your party heads to your hip-hop heads.'' On Saturday, renowned house DJ Cadell appears. alongside resident DJs Angelo and Stevie .
