PUNK legends The Misfits will perform at the Cambridge Hotel on Saturday, March 18, as part of their upcoming Australian tour.
The Misfits formed in 1977, with the band's music being primitive, punk rock, harsh and to the point.
In the early stages of the band's career it performed at legendary club CBGB in New York City and by the late '70s became heavily influenced by punk bands such as The Damned and The Ramones . Its first full-length album, Walk Among Us, was released in 1982 and the band became notorious for its intense stage presence and brutal live performances.
By 1983 the original Misfits had broken up but a touring incarnation of the band is presently led by original member and bassist Jerry Only .
The band is writing material for a new studio album which it will begin recording after its tour commitments. Tickets for The Misfits are on sale at the venue, Sound World and on online at moshtix.com.au
