ISING Newcastle hardcore outfit The Dead Walk! looks set for a massive year, with an album release on the cards and a steady run of live dates booked, including tonight at the Cambridge Hotel.
The Dead Walk! was formed from the ashes of nationally established hardcore bands Life Love Regret and No Jazz Before The Rumble. It made its first live appearance in September, 2004.
A demo released shortly after that has drawn comparisons with the likes of Integrity, Terror and Cro Mags. After the widespread interest in the demo, The Dead Walk! returned to the studio and released the seven-track debut EP Re-Animation through Resist Records. In the band's short existence it has supported the likes of Madball, Comeback Kid, Most Precious Blood, Champion and Throwdown. There are no plans to slow down either, with The Dead Walk! working towards an album.
The five-piece outfit will head to Melbourne later this month for a string of shows. They will also support Parkway Drive in Newcastle in April.
That will be the last live show for a while before The Dead Walk! takes time out to write and record its album.
They will return to play the the annual Hardcore 2006 gig in July.
