AFTER a phenomenally successful year with his debut album Feeler going platinum six times and earning five ARIA nominations, Pete Murray is ready for round two.
He's back and armed with a new single, Better Days, in the lead-up to his forthcoming second album, See The Sun, due for release on September 25.
Stripped-back acoustics set the mood for the single which captures the album's themes of hope and optimism.
``It's one of the songs that has been around for a while but it's one that really suits the mood this time, something that's hopeful to hang on to even if times are tough,'' Murray said of the song. And with a new album comes a new name.
Murray and his long-time backing band are now recording and performing under the name Pete Murray and the Stonemasons. The arrival of a new album is also paving the way for an extensive national tour that will kick off in Brisbane later this month and bring Murray and the Stonemasons back to Panthers Newcastle on November 18.
Supporting on the night will be Tambalane and Ash Grunwald. Tickets are on sale now.
Bookings can be made by calling the Panthers Newcastle on 4926 2700.
