Austen Tayshus Is Still Out Of Control

Who: Austen Tayshus
Where: Cardiff Panthers
When: Thursday November 24, 2005

LOVE him or hate him, Austen Tayshus has remained synonymous with cutting-edge comedy for more than two decades.

He has enthralled and shocked his audiences with his politically incorrect and confronting style of stand-up.

After producing the top-selling single Australiana in 1983, winning Tropicana Film Festival's Best Actor award for Intolerance in 1998 and producing several motion pictures, the Australian stand-up comic has released his first live DVD.

Totally Out of Control takes a provocative, challenging and ironic look at some of the issues in society today.

Tayshus hopes it will make viewers search for the notorious double meaning hidden in his work.

The comic has been developing his successful stand-up and recording career throughout the world and recently completed a screenplay with American screenwriter Robert Lewis Galinsky. The film, titled There's Something About Jesus, will be Tayshus's first feature-film starring role and is due to begin production later this year.

To coincide with the launch of Totally Out of Control, Tayshus has embarked on a national tour and will appear at Cardiff Panthers on Thursday, November 24.

Tickets cost $15 per person and are on sale at the club.
