PUNTERS can expect to hear new material from Floyd Vincent and The Childbrides when the band returns to Newcastle on Friday night.
Having spent much of the past few months tinkering away in Vincent's own studio in Wollongong, the band is in the process of putting the final touches to its latest album, Monkey Puzzle. The album was recorded at 301 Studios in Sydney and is set for release this year.
Described by Vincent as ``dance music for the thinking feet'' the album will feature much of the Latin/world music grooves for which the band has become known. Floyd Vincent and The Childbrides will feel right at home when they perform at the Northern Star Hotel on Friday night.
The venue has become a second home to the band over the years, in between touring commitments around Australia and throughout Europe.
Catch the band performing from 10.30pm. Tickets cost $6 at the door.
