TWO of the biggest names on the Australian dance scene are on the trail again to celebrate the release of the latest compilation through Ministry of Sound .
John Course and Mark Dynamix are working their way around the country on the Sessions Tour in support of their new double album Sessions 2. Newcastle will host an album launch featuring Dynamix behind the decks pumping out all the latest house tracks at King Street Hotel on Friday night.
Sessions Two is split across two discs with the first mixed by Melbourne DJ Course and the second pieced together by Sydney-based club favourite Dynamix.
Tunes featured include Bodyrockers' I Like The Way, Mylo's In My Arms, poxyMUSIC's Our Break and Fischerspooner's Just Let Go. It has been a solid 12 months for Dynamix, having mixed a staggering five albums for Ministry of Sound.
Although he plays an average of four gigs every weekend, Dynamix still found time to head overseas.
``There wasn't any break overseas either,'' Dynamix said.
``A tour of Canada filled out February with my favourite place being Whistler, where the predominantly Aussie crowd pulled together to support one of their own and helped create one of the best nights of my life.'' There was no rest when he arrived back on home soil with Dynamix booked to support the likes of Derrick May, Carl Cox, Moguai and Infusion. Dynamix will be supported by Chris Tanch and Yogi. Doors open at 10pm and entry costs $10.
