TWO stars of the hit television program The Saddle Club will perform at Newcastle Panthers this weekend.
Sophie Bennett and Kia Luby met when on the set of The Saddle Club, a television show about young girls and their horses that became a worldwide teen sensation.
It generated a successful series of CDs in Australia, including eight top 40 singles and three gold-selling albums.
Bennett and Luby formed a close relationship and it was not long before the two eventually wanted to work together on their own project.
Earlier this year Bennett and Luby began writing and recording material for a forthcoming album that has already spawned the hit single Planet Tokyo. Performing under the name Sophie and Kia, the pair have embarked upon a month-long series of live appearances to promote the release of the new single He's Everything. Fans can expect the release of Sophie and Kia's debut album in August after it was pushed back when the pair wrote a handful of new songs they wanted to include on the album.
Sophie and Kia perform at Newcastle Panthers on Sunday.
Tickets are on sale at the club.
