AFTER 13 years and seven album releases, American band MxPx remains at the top of the punk game.
Armed with a brand new album, Panic, MxPx is set to unleash its new material upon Australian fans when the band kicks off a national tour next month.
It will take in seven shows across the country and bring the band back to Newcastle for a headline gig at the Bar On the Hill on Friday, September 2.
MxPx last performed here as part of the huge line- up at Showdown at Sundown held at Newcastle Panthers in October.
Australian fans will catch the band fresh from its extensive run touring as part of the Vans Warped Tour throughout the US alongside the likes of Dropkick Murphys, The Offspring and Dillinger Escape Plan. Always set on introducing new bands to Aussie audiences, MxPx will bring emerging Minneapolis five-piece Motion City Soundtrack along for the ride.
The band's latest album, Commit This To Memory, has just been released through Epitaph Records. Tickets go on sale this Friday and will be available on campus at Contact.
