THE Bee Gees are one of Australia's most successful musical exports.

With more than 40 albums over five decades and a mass of number one hits in more than 15 countries, the trio helped shine a light on the Australian music scene.

More than 1000 artists have covered more than 300 Bee Gees songs.

Paying tribute to the Bee Gees is an art in itself and one act that prides itself on delivering one of the best is Stayin' Alive The Australian Bee Gees Tribute. It will appear at West Leagues Club on Wednesday, August 17.

Stayin' Alive has not only reproduced the look of the Gibb brothers but also become renowned for their incredible voices and harmonies.

Since its first shows in 1997, Stayin' Alive has played to capacity houses throughout Australia, South-East Asia, the Middle East, New Zealand and Germany.

The only show of its type in Australia, Stayin' Alive - The Australian Bee Gees Story consists of a live five-piece band, renowned worldwide for its definitive performances of all the classic Bee Gees songs.

It is one of the most up-to- date Bee Gees tribute shows in the world.

The Bee Gees career is the great Australian success story.

The Bee Gees have produced an endless stream of hits with songs such as New York Mining Disaster 1941, Massachusetts, How Deep Is Your Love, Night Fever, Jive Talking, Lonely Days and Tragedy. They are the only songwriters in history to have five songs in the Billboard Top 10 at the same time, number one hits in four decades, and with artists as diverse as Barbra Streisand, Celine Dion, Destiny's Child, Janis Joplin and Elvis Presley covering their songs.

Not only did John Travolta strut his stuff to their music in the film Saturday Night Fever but their music has now captured a whole new legion of fans thanks to the success of the stage show of the same name.

Stayin' Alive The Australian Bee Gees Tribute continues the magic of the Bee Gees.

It features the talent of Michael Clift as Barry Gibb, Wayne Hosking as Maurice Gibb and David Scott as Robin Gibb. Tickets to the show are on sale now and bookings can be made on 4935 1200.
