NOVOCASTRIAN jump-jivers FISH FRY will back up their performance at NEWCASTLE'S HOME GROWN AID FOR ASIA tsunami appeal concert with a gig at the NORTHERN STAR HOTEL this weekend.

Fish Fry are one of Newcastle's favourite jazz, blues and R&B bands.

In the past two years they have taken out consecutive 1233 ABC Newcastle Music Awards in the jazz category and have wowed audiences with big shows at JAZZ IN THE VINES if and the Hamilton and Morpeth Jazz festivals.

The band also drew good crowds to their shows in Wheeler Place that were part of the NEWCASTLE LIVE SITES program.

Featuring experienced and popular musicians, Fish Fry have fun with jump-jive, beat and soul classics. Plus the group thrown in some of their own tunes to provide an energetic night of dancing and entertainment. Members of Fish Fry are IAN DUNN (guitar), KIM PINK (saxophone), JUSTIN COLLINS (vocals), ANDREW WALLACE (double bass), STUART ST HILL (trumpet) and NOC CECIRE (drums).
