PITTSBURGH punk legends ANTI- FLAG have come a long way since their beginnings in 1994.
In the past decade the band has made appearances at the Rock'n'Roll Hall of Fame, sold hundreds of thousands of records, toured with RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE and made high-profile collaborations with everyone from REVEREND JESSE JACKSON to WOODY GUTHRIE. And that's just a small taste of the band's accomplishments.
The list goes on and has culminated with the release of their pivotal album, The Terror State.
Produced by TOM MORELLO of Rage Against the Machine and AUDIOSLAVE fame, The Terror State is a milestone for Anti-Flag.
Anti-Flag is known for one of the most energetic and engaging live shows in the punk scene.
Having toured Europe, the US and Japan 20 times, the band has developed an appetite for the road and a strong desire to spread its music.
It has played the Warped tour's mainstage, the Plea For Peace Tour, and the Battle of Los Angeles Tour with Rage Against the Machine.
Now Australian audiences will be sent into a punk music frenzy when Anti-Flag begins its Australian tour in Perth tonight.
The tour will bring Anti-Flag across to Newcastle for a show at the CAMBRIDGE HOTEL on Tuesday evening with support from Chicago-based label mates THE LAWRENCE ARMS, who are touring in support of their latest album The Greatest Story Ever Told. Tickets are on sale now from BEAUMONT STREET BEAT, THE ROCK SHOP, SOUNDWORLD and the venue.
