CRAIG OBEY has shared the bill with some of the biggest names in the dance music world.
ROGER SANCHEZ, FATBOY SLIM, DIMITRI FROM PARIS and BASEMENT JAXX are just a handful of the artists the Sydney-based DJ and producer has worked with over the past 15 years.
Obey will be in Newcastle at FANNY'S on Saturday night to pump out a blend of filtered house and electro-clash.
Mixing these styles with soulful and edgy vocals, wild scratches and swing grooves, Obey has upheld a reputation for filling dance floors at some of Sydney's biggest club events.
But he has extended himself much further than simply playing other people's tunes.
As a producer, Obey's first studio recordings, Feel The Vibe and Can't Escape The Funk , were released under the name CRAIG OBEY VS MARK MUNRO.
Since then his production skills have led him to collaborate with renowned artists and DJs such as STEVE `SILK' HURLEY, E-SMOOVE, CHANCE, ROB TISSERA and DISCO MONTEGO.
More recently Obey has created work under the name ELEKTRIK FORCE and released the singles coolin' @ the.bar and Hip- Ma-Tize-Me. The first has already been a hit in clubs and spent seven weeks in the top 10 of the ARIA club chart.
