DO you know how you will spend Christmas with this year? Well the guys from Rubix Cuba are hoping you might want to spend it with them and their mascot Cubie at this year's Christmas With Cubie , at Newcastle Leagues Club on Friday night.
Bands include Rubix Cuba, Scarchild, Conation, Finite and Big City Exile, and Sydney's Owenell. Christmas With Cubie has become a tradition for the local ska band and will once again have Cubie battling it out against Santa in the ring.
``That's right, our once-a-year celebration where we watch Cubie hammer the living daylights out of Santa returns for another year,'' Stu Cuba said.
``And you heard right! Cubie versus Santa, one night, one round, no rules, all fun, fighting for the ghost of Christmas past, present and never never land.'' It has been a big few months for Rubix Cuba, having recently supported US bands the Mad Caddies and the Royal Crown Revue on their Australian tour.
Rubix Cuba's Stu Cuba said all the bands all got along well and they were now considering a trip to Canada after a tentative invitation was extended to support one of the bands in America.
Tickets are $10 at the door. Doors open at 6pm and it is an all-ages event.
