NOVOCASTRIANS will be treated to a night of hardcore action when Champion hits town tonight after playing huge shows in Perth, Adelaide and Melbourne.
Joining the leading US outfit will be Perth's Miles Away , which was invited to support Champion on the entire Australian run.
Touring with the group has also allowed the young Aussie group to get the word out about their album, Consequences. Miles Away has climbed in the past two years from the ranks of the unknown to establish itself as one of the hardest-working bands on the country's hardcore circuit.
The band has toured relentlessly, playing with some of the biggest names in the hardcore scene, released the Make It Count EP and, more recently, Consequences .
Miles Away will join Champion, Los Angeles band Internal Affairs and Betrayed, featuring Champion guitarist Aram Arslanian on vocals and Carry On songwriter Todd Jones on guitar, at the Cambridge Hotel tonight. Tickets will be available at the door.
Florida band Against Me! will play at the Cambridge on February 17.
