Who: Lisa Hunt
Where: QWB - Queens Wharf Brewery
When: Sunday April 10, 2005

TOURING US soul and gospel singer Lisa Hunt loves coming back to Australia.

``For as long as you will have me, I'll keep coming back,'' Hunt said.

``It's the highlight of my year!'' Following an appearance at the Blues and Roots Festival at Byron Bay last week, Hunt is working her way back down the east coast.

Hunt, whose style is in the tradition of artists such as Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston and Tina Turner, will treat listeners to her popular R&B retrospective Forever Soul .

She gave a stellar performance in Newcastle at The Brewery in January and will return to the venue on Sunday.

Her latest Australian jaunt adds to what has already been a hectic year of overseas touring for Hunt.

She has been travelling across the US promoting her new single The Joint is Jumping, which after a few short weeks shot into the country's Billboard club chart.

While back in Australia, Hunt said she hoped to catch up with fellow US musician Michael Franti who she met while performing at a festival in Austria last year.

``I sang extra special when I caught Michael Franti checking me out from stageside and it worked,'' Hunt said of the meeting.

``We had a great chat afterwards and promised to hook up in Australia.'' Hunt will be on stage from 2pm on the wharf this Sunday.

Entry is free.
