Blues-infused Duo Bring On The Mess

IF you've had your dial tuned to Triple J lately, you have probably heard The Mess Hall's thumping new single Disco #1. It is the first single taken from the forthcoming album Notes From a Ceiling which is slated for release in June.

In the meantime the duo, comprising Jed Kurzel (vocals and guitar) and Anthony ``AJ'' Johnsen (drums), has embarked on a brief, but extensive tour which will appear at the Cambridge Hotel tomorrow night before wrapping up in Sydney on Saturday.

Punters will have the chance to gain a taste of what is to come from the album which has been touted as one of the most anticipated Australian releases of the year.

The Mess Hall delivered impressive performances at the Big Day Out earlier this year and are worth checking out for those who enjoy the style of blues-infused acts like The Black Keys and The White Stripes. Doors open at 8pm and Tigermoth will support.
