NUTSHELL BREAKS will return this weekend as part of the annual THIS IS NOT ART festival.
Headlining the event at the KING STREET HOTEL will be New Zealand beat freaks CHRIS CHETLAND and TIMMY SCHUMACHER. The pair have combined to form a new act, BAITERCELL AND SCHUMACHER. Chetland and Schumacher are leaders in New Zealand's breakbeat scene, renowned for their style of rocking drum'n'bass and hip-hop- influenced breaks.
The venture started out as a bit of fun as they began working on a remix of their favourite AQUASKY tune, Cobra. It was such a success that they stayed together and will release their next track on PASSENGER RECORDS in October.
Baitercell and Schumacher will be joined by guest DJ BASS KLEPH and Nutshell Breaks regulars KATO, AUXILARY and D*STEADY on Friday night.
Advance tickets cost $10 from THREESIXTYSOUNDS, RAMJET, ABICUS SELECTIONS, PDMS and the hotel or $15 at the door.
