AFTER 40 years in the entertainment industry BRIAN CADD has seen it all.
With a new album and new show with the reformation of THE BOOTLEG BAND, Cadd will perform live at WEST LEAGUES CLUB on Wednesday, November 10.
In February this year Cadd entered the recording studio to begin his first new studio album in 20 years.
Cadd started out as a 16-year-old jazz performer.
While his new album forms the core of the new show, old favourites like A Little Ray of Sunshine and Don't You Know It's Magic will also feature.
Raised in Perth, Cadd was given the choice between lessons in tennis or piano at the age of 10.
He chose the latter and studied seriously for two years.
From 1966 until his departure for America in 1975 the singer, songwriter, keyboard player and producer was one of the most prominent musicians on the Australian music scene.
With three hit albums, headlining his own concerts, a television theme for Class of 74 and a soundtrack for the movie Alvin Purple , Cadd was at the top of the tree.
He remains a key figure in the history of Australian music, as his extensive discography indicates.
He has also been active in many other areas of the industry throughout his long and successful career.
Cadd is famed for his work in AXIOM, one of Australia's first ``supergroups'', featuring GLENN SHORROCK, and THE GROOP as well as his work on the 2002 tour of LONG WAY TO THE TOP. As a writer, Cadd has not only composed a vast body of work for himself, but provided songs for Australian and international artists including JOE COCKER, RINGO STARR, JOHN FARNHAM and THE POINTER SISTERS. Tickets are on sale now. Bookings can be made on 4935 th1300.
