A COUPLE of months away from the live circuit was enough for Melbourne band THE GRAND SILENT SYSTEM, which is back with a lengthy tour this month and next.

the release of its new album. The album was released on Monday and its second single, Did, has hit radio following the success of the first single Champion. The band formed in early 1999 in the Latrobe Valley.
It blends many musical influences ranging from classical, jazz and orchestral to electronica, world music, funk and progressive rock.
The band has six key members and delivers textured sounds with the use of guitar, keyboards, samples, clarinet, flute, saxophone, bass, drums and percussion.
The Grand Silent System released its the first full-length album Gift Or A Weapon in 2002.
The band will perform at the CAMBRIDGE HOTEL on Friday night with MOUSEMOON. Entry will cost $8.
