FRESH from supporting THE DISSOCIATIVES on a national tour, LITTLE BIRDY is set to head out on its own tour to launch its much-anticipated debut album BigBigLove .
The album is to be released on October 4 and the band will hit the road throughout this month and next on a national tour.
KATY, MATT, BARNEY, SIMON and newest member FERGUS DEASY will travel everywhere, from Tasmania to Brisbane to Bunbury.
The first single lifted off the album, Beautiful To Me , was released on Monday and has already reached number two on the TRIPLE J NET 50. Like all the tracks on BigBigLove, the single was produced and mixed by PAUL McKERCHER. BigBigLove features 11 songs and the band is keen to get back on the road and play them live.
Little Birdy has been rehearsing non-stop ready for the tour, taking keyboard player and vocalist Deasy on board to help create a fuller sound.
Fellow Western Australian group PANDA will open the shows.
New Zealand trio EVERMORE has also been confirmed as part of the tour.
Little Birdy will join MAGIC DIRT for a one-off show in Newcastle at the BAR ON THE HILL on Thursday, October 28.
