THERE is a new place to party in Newcastle.
THE HARBOUR BAR, located at QUEENS WHARF BREWERY, officially opened its doors last Friday and looks set to become one of Newcastle's premier venues.
The Harbour Bar is a stylish addition to The Brewery and offers much more than million-dollar views.
An extensive menu boasts a mouth-watering selection of delicious cocktails. There is also a wide range of boutique beers available.
``The decor is stylish but cool, making it the perfect meeting spot for an after-work drink or an after- dinner nightspot,'' The Brewery's ALISON WALKER said.
``We are trying to give Newcastle that cocktail bar that it seems to lack.'' Ideal for an after-work drink, The Harbour Bar is also primed to become a popular nightspot and will feature some of Newcastle's best DJs serving up funky beats and breaks every Friday and Saturday from 11pm.
The roster will include Newcastle-based DJs such as KATO, AUXILARY, MATT MANDELL, FLETCH, KAVINDA, KEY MONEY and TONE, as well as Sydney guests.
``We'll also be getting a few bigger names from Sydney coming through regularly,'' Walker said.
The Harbour Bar is the latest addition to the many renovations being carried out at the Queens Wharf Brewery.
Opening hours are from 11.30am until midnight from Sunday to Thursday and from 11.30am to 3am on Friday and Saturday.
