ROSS WILSON has come a long way since 1964 when he fronted THE PINK FINKS. The schoolboy R&B band recorded Louie Louie , a garage record which was possibly Australia's first independent single.
It charted in Melbourne, leading to a record deal and three singles while he was still at school.
In 1969 Wilson formed SONS OF THE VEGETAL MOTHER, from which DADDY COOL emerged in 1970.
One of Australia's classic rock acts, the band released the anthemic Eagle Rock , setting new sales records in Australia.
In a career spanning over 30 years, Wilson remains one of this country's most respected artists.
From MONDO ROCK, to his solo career, or as a composer of songs such as Come Back Again, Cool World and A Touch of Paradise or as producer of SKYHOOKS, Wilson has had the Midas touch.
Wilson with his band will perform at NEWCASTLE PANTHERS on Thursday, November 11. Tickets are on sale now at the club.
