SINCE releasing its Land of the Giants album in last year, DOWNSYDE has taken some giant steps.
It has racked up loads of radio play and performed more than 100 shows across the nation.
The band also played the ST KILDA FESTIVAL, HOMEBAKE, ROCK IT and SPLENDOUR IN THE GRASS last year.
This year, the band has supported JURASSIC 5, CYPRESS HILL, GRANDMASTER FLASH and NAUGHTY BY NATURE. It has also been working on a new release.
When The Dust Settles features 15 tracks ranging from hard-hitting street level hip-hop to laid-back party beats and tracks with hard funk edge.
Downsyde's MCs OPTAMUS, DAZASTAH and DYNA-MIKES will create a show of fast urban lyrics carried by scratches, samples and percussions by CHEEKY, SALVATOR and DJ ARMEE when they play at THE BAND ROOM at NEWCASTLE LEAGUES CLUB tomorrow night.
Support acts are LOCAL KNOWLEDGE and LEFT OF CENTER. Tickets cost $15 and are available from THREESIXTYSOUNDS, RAMJET, BEAUMONT STREET BEAT, PDMS and Newcastle Leagues Club.
