ESTABLISHING a home on the internet proved a wise move for Rob Cass and his band The Cosmic Cowboys.
Since going online, people as far and wide as Ireland and America have stumbled across the site and subsequently requested the music of ROB CASS AND THE COSMIC COWBOYS on their radio stations.
With word quickly spreading around the globe, Cass said he hoped it wouldn't be too long before the band tackled the overseas market with a tour.
``The website has been great for getting the music out to people,'' Cass said.
``We've had airplay on ABC Radio at home but our album has also been played in Ireland, Holland and America.'' Since forming in 2003, Rob Cass and The Cosmic Cowboys have maintained a constant tour schedule which includes regular runs throughout Newcastle, the Hunter Region, Tamworth, Walgett and Sydney.
With international interest brewing, Cass said the band hoped to further focus its attention on performing live to expose itself to more country music fans.
Described by Cass as a ``country rock band'', Rob Cass and The Cosmic Cowboys released their debut album Dairyville Road this year. The album's single Sheep and Cattle was released last month.
Cass said the band was hard at work writing new material and doing its best to ensure that it became one of the most successful acts in the country music industry.
``We write songs from the heart and soul of the country,'' Cass said.
Rob Cass and The Cosmic Cowboys will play at HAMILTON GREENROOF HOTEL on Friday night and on July 18.
