BLOWPOP, the British club night which set up a home in Sydney last year at the WORLD BAR in Kings Cross, returns to Newcastle this weekend.
The monthly event made its debut at the CAMBRIDGE HOTEL in November and will bring heavyweights of the dance scene to Newcastle throughout the New Year, with CUT LE ROC, DEADLY AVENGER and TAYO all set to appear.
Dance music fans won't want to miss Blowpop's night of beats and basslines on Saturday when HOME nightclub resident DJs RITUAL and ALF team as ROLLERS MUSIC, mashing up a mix of drum'n'bass and hip-hop.
They will be joined by Sydney's PRICE CUTS and B'ARCH, who will play a stack of their own creations as well as some of their famous bootleg tracks.
Newcastle's LUKE FITZ, EMTEE, SKOOB, MATHMATICS and MCs MING and TUNZ ONE are also on the bill. if There will also be a strong visual element to the show, with live visuals from SPOOK, who has supplied visuals for most of the biggest parties including BEAT FEST at Home nightclub and PARKLIFE. Doors open at 9pm and tickets cost $7 before 10.30pm or $15 afterwards.
