Abba Music Set To Arrive

Who: Abbaolutely Fabba-ulous
Where: Newcastle Panthers
When: Friday December 31, 2004

IF you have your own dance moves for Waterloo or if you loved the soundtracks to Muriel's Wedding and Priscilla: Queen of the Desert, then head to NEWCASTLE PANTHERS on New Year's Eve when ABBASOLUTELY FABBA- ULOUS will perform live on stage. Celebrating New Year's Eve at Newcastle Panthers will be a chance to get together with friends, both on stage and off, to let down your hair, to relive the best the `70s had to offer. The event starts with the great '70s tunes of D.J. JOHNNY B GOODE and sees in the New Year with the music of ABBA. The performance covers all the great ABBA songs, including Dancing Queen, Waterloo, Mama Mia, Honey Honey, Ring Ring and Rock Me. About 30 musical memories based on the ABBA Live tour of 1977 will be featured.

The show revives the band's costumes and quirky choreography.

The tribute band was created in 1989 with four top-class musicians who could recreate the look and, more importantly, the sound of the pop phenomenon.

Taking charge of the group is JAMIE ANDERSON, an original member of the tribute band.

Anderson, who has been based in Europe and the UK, has been impersonating and performing all his life and enjoys the role of keyboard player Benny Anderson.

Joining him on stage as his now jilted wife Anni- Frid Lyngstad is BELINDA BEE, Australia's own BELLA GOODWIN as Agnetha and, playing the sombre Bjorn Ulvaeus, New Zealand-born singer-songwriter and guitarist GLENN BLOOMFIELD. Tickets (show only or dinner and show) are on sale from the club on 4926 th2700.
