Long Lives 'The King'

Who: Elvis to the Max
Where: Newcastle Panthers
When: Saturday September 18, 2004

RENOWNED ELVIS PRESLEY impersonator MAX PELLICANO returns to Newcastle next month after a hugely successful show in the city earlier this year.

He will appear at NEWCASTLE PANTHERS on Saturday, September 18.

More than 25 years have passed since the death of Presley, but his reign as ``The King' of rock'n'roll has continued into the new millennium.

The re-release of Presley's material has seen tracks like A Little Less Conversation, Rubberneckin' and That's All Right achieve chart success worldwide.

Presley also lives on in Pellicano's hit stage show Elvis To The Max.

His uncanny resemblance to The King and an equally chilling performance have mesmerised thousands of Presley fans around the globe and he has successfully toured Australia for over a decade.

Pellicano first performed in Australia in 1987. His latest tour will feature a different concept from previous years.

For the first time, Pellicano will perform with an orchestral string section during an eight-month jaunt across Australia and New Zealand.

Fans can expect a full tribute to Presley as Pellicano revisits the early years as well as the 1968 Comeback Special and moments from his television special Aloha from Hawaii. Almost all of the Hawaii concert will be performed with songs from Presley's Madison Square Garden and Elvis In Concert albums.

Costumes featured in the show are replicas made by Presley's own tailor BILL BELLOW. Tickets to Elvis to the Max are on sale at the club and cost $35.
